To describe our growing up in the lowcountry of South Carolina, I would have to take you to the marsh on a spring day, flush the great blue heron from its silent occupation, scatter marsh hens as we sink to our knees in mud, open an oyster with a pocketknife and feed it to you from the shell and say, 'There. That taste. That's the taste of my childhood.' - Pat Conroy

New Beauty Products | Drugstore | Inexpensive

I love drugstore beauty products. Sure, it's an ever growing plethora of endless products and some aren't near worth the money, but there are tons that are and I found some great products that I felt deserved being shared on the blog.

1 // Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow by Milani - I cannot say enough great things about these eyeshadows. The name says gel powder, but it is a powder in my opinion and beyond great. I have several eyeshadows ranging from high end to low end and these are my favorite of all brands I own. They blend well, you can build up the intensity or keep it more low key. The colors are pigmented and beyond beautiful. I currently own Bella Chiffon which can be used as a highlight on both your eyes and/or face (I use it for both, as well as a brow highlight), Bella Sand, Bella Gold and now Bella Champagne. Bella Champagne is a shimmer color that reminds me of a taupe rose/pink. In my opinion this can be used as a face highlight to provide a more gold look if applied to the top of your cheek bones, but also great in the inner eye corner or as a lid shadow. I cannot wait to experiment more with this. Seriously, run, don't walk to the nearest drugstore and buy any of their Bella Eyeshadow collection. (Around $4.50)

2 //Jordana Modern Matte Lipstick - This is my first time ever buying a Jordana product and I have no clue why I haven't before. I purchased the color Matte Blush and it's a perfect nude lipstick. At only $2.50, it's creamy, pigmented, and matte without leaving my lips too dry. I did find that after about 15 minutes some of the color settles in your lips fine lines but with a quick blend of my index finger, it blended it right out and I've been wearing the color for over an hour now with no other fine lines or wearing off. I cannot wait to try more of these matte colors. It also smells wonderful. I wanted to lick my lips it smelled so good. Almost like vanilla ice cream...

Wet'n'Wild A Short Affair (third)
Wet'n'Wild Will You Be With Me (top)

3 // Another Jordana product is their Easyliner lip liner. I purchased Rose Crush and as you can see in the photo, it's color payoff is wonderful, that's just two swipes of the pencil. The color is pefect for Spring. It reminds me of a mix between coral and pink with a hint of nude. ($2)

4 // At $0.99 a piece I figured these Wet'n'Wild lipsticks were going to be a waste of $2, but I picked out my two favorite colors and hoped for the best. I'm glad I did. These swatches are just two swipes and they're not only creamy on my lips, but the color actually does last a while without having to reapply constantly. A Short Affair is a soft pink sheen color. I imagine wearing this on days where you want just a hint of color on your lips. Will You Be With Me is more of a rosy pink and has less of a shine. It's not matte by any means, but it's such a stunning color!

5// My last beauty purchase of the day was L'oreals Infallible Pro-Matte 24 Hour Foundation. I've heard great things about this online and couldn't wait to try it out. It's more on the pricier side, but most foundations are, even at the drugstore. $12.99 to be exact. I can't give my honest opinion of this yet as I haven't tried it out but I cannot wait to experiment with it as it states it has a semi-matte finish, lasts 24 hours, provides medium coverage and has an air light texture. Well if it does as it promises to do, I'm sure I'll love it. Have you tried this yet? If so, thoughts?

I'm always on the lookout for inexpensive yet great drugstore beauty products, so if you have a favorite, please tell!
