To describe our growing up in the lowcountry of South Carolina, I would have to take you to the marsh on a spring day, flush the great blue heron from its silent occupation, scatter marsh hens as we sink to our knees in mud, open an oyster with a pocketknife and feed it to you from the shell and say, 'There. That taste. That's the taste of my childhood.' - Pat Conroy

Our Magical Vacation | Disney Days 6 and 7

We started our sixth day with breakfast in one of the most beautiful resorts on property, Disney's Grand Floridian. We ate a character breakfast at 1900 Park Fare.

"You're entirely bonkers, but I'll tell you a secret, all the best people are!" - The Mad Hatter

After breakfast we headed to Hollywood Studios. First on our to-do list was to meet Kylo Ren from the new Star Wars movie. If you're a nerd whose into Star Wars, like us, then oh my goodness he is a must meet! It was amazing! He's the villain you love to hate and hate to love but I have a huge crush on him from the movie and you could tell from my facial expressions. Bless it!

He asked us to join the dark side, Cadence and Tarl said never, I accepted with a smile ;)

After meeting Kylo Ren we rode all the rides in Hollywood Studios and watched all the shows. Cadence's face during the Beauty and the Beast show says it all. She was amazed!

We had wanted to close Hollywood Studios by watching Fantasmic and then their new Star Wars fireworks show but a severe storm was heading towards Orlando and they closed it down, so we went back to our resort, ate a quick dinner there, and then headed to visit my Aunt Nancy who lives in the area!

I'm so glad we had the opportunity to go and see her while in town. See, there is always a silver lining in the clouds, or in this case, dark thunderstorm clouds.

The next morning we got up and had beignets for breakfast. The door greeter was dressed in his best Mardi Gras attire and I have a picture with him and Cadence from our last trip two years ago. We actually had the opportunity to speak with him and he talked about how much he loved working for Disney and had been employed there for 30 years! He is so personable and so very nice! Pic on the left is from our 2014 trip, pic on the right was from this trip. (Look at how tall my baby has gotten!)

After beignets we headed to Magic Kingdom!

We rode a majority of the rides and met Gaston, who was a hilarious meet and greet!

My husbands muscles are the real thing :)

Around 3 we left to go back to our resort, swam, and then got dressed for dinner in Epcot at Garden Grill. The food was served family style, we got some more pics with Mickey, Pluto and Chip and Dale, and their salad they serve is grown right there in Epcot (it was delicious too!).

Love this man of mine!

The berry pound cake dessert was incredible and it no longer looked like that when we were finished with it!

Since the weather had rained us out of Fantasmic and the fireworks show at Hollywood Studios the night before, we headed to Hollywood Studios after dinner (this is why it's great to get the Park Hopper!) to watch them. It was unreal! One of my favorite fireworks shows yet!

Although we haven't stayed in each resort, I have seen every Disney resort during our last trip except for the Beach Club. It was during the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot and since the Beach Club is an Epcot resort within walking distance they wouldn't let us in because it was packed to capacity.

Since I didn't get the chance to see it last time we went there after Hollywood Studios fireworks show and stopped at their ice cream shop, Beaches & Cream. Not only was the ice cream the perfect way to end our 2nd to last day but that was all three of our favorite deluxe resort.

It would obviously cost a pretty penny to stay there, but it would be worth saving for! It was BIG, like HUGE. It had it's own boardwalk with tons of shopping, a man made beach and one of the biggest pools on property with a sandy bottom so it gives you the feel of the ocean.

What a sweet way to end our day!

Tomorrow I'm re-capping our final day in Disney and the pit-stop we took on the drive home and woo-hoo for Friday!
