To describe our growing up in the lowcountry of South Carolina, I would have to take you to the marsh on a spring day, flush the great blue heron from its silent occupation, scatter marsh hens as we sink to our knees in mud, open an oyster with a pocketknife and feed it to you from the shell and say, 'There. That taste. That's the taste of my childhood.' - Pat Conroy

All Things Easter

I am missing the city terribly as I sip on my coffee and nibble on my apple turnover.
Eating these sweets reminds me of all the bakeries in the city and of course the Starbucks that are on every corner. I truly loved New York and am already dreaming of my next trip, and of course have started a new "wish list" of places to visit while there.

Onto today's post...

Easter is one of my favorite holidays.
I love the colors, the Spring weather and most importantly what it means to me as a Christian.
The fact that Jesus died so that we may live an eternal life in Heaven is just the most amazing sacrifice ever. As always, if you would love to learn more about His love, feel free to email me!

Tarl and I instill these same Christian values in our daughter. I'm happy to say that she loves Jesus, even at her young age. She also loves the Easter Bunny. I mean a cute little bunny who brings little gifts and candy to eat for breakfast, what kid (or adult!) wouldn't love that?!

This year the bunny is giving her a monogrammed basket, along with a monogrammed egg with a monogrammed bunny inside and a monogrammed water bottle. (are you getting the monogrammed trend I have going on here?)

I'm a huge fan of Lush. Their products are amazing and I've yet to try one I don't like. Their bath bombs always leave my skin feeling moisturized for days. Cadence always likes to watch the bath bombs fizzle out in the tub when I use one and always says that she wants one too, well Tarl and I went into the Lush in NYC and got her two bath bombs for her Easter Basket. We purchased her the cute little Hoppity Poppity and the Fluffy Egg.

While there I did snag another Tender is the Night massage bar.
This is my third massage bar from Lush, and my second Tender is the Night. This is my most favorite. It smells divine and melts like butter. I honestly don't use these as a massage bar though. I use it as a lotion and I find it is so much more hydrating then any lotion that I buy in stores, plus it smells divine.

If you are looking for a massage bar though, I recommend Hottie.
It actually warms up gently as you use it, which is perfect for sore muscles, specifically after you work out, run or jog.

She's also getting some candy, a Minnie Mouse Easter plush and the Princess Anna dress that she's been wanting to add desperately to her dress up collection. I cannot wait to see her little face light up on Sunday morning.

On this weeks agenda we have some Easter egg dyeing and I plan on cooking a nice Easter breakfast for my family before all the festivities begin. I'm beyond ready to spend time with family, eating and playing games and just spending some quality time together.

Here are some of my favorite Easter ideas, courtesy of Pinterest:

Bunny pancakes tutorial

Kids Creative Meal Idea ~ Easter Breakfast ~ Kick off the day in true Easter style with these adorable bunny pancakes. This delicious meal is not only easy to make (you don’t even have to shape the batter) but the fruit accessories make it a balanced meal that will give your kids the energy they need to kickstart their day.

Cute and super easy. Cute for Easter. Peeps sitting on Rice Crispy Treats nests.

Easter Time! Hollow rice krispie Easter eggs made from a plastic egg...fill with small candies & treats!! The kids will love them and have fun opening them up to see what surprises are inside.

I finished Tarl's basket yesterday. I got a lot of his favorite goodies and stuffed them in a basket.
You know, slim jims, his favorite potato chips and candy and such.

We always try to do a little something for each other, although last Easter there was a Kate Spade bag waiting on me. I don't think I'll be able to top that :) #sweetboy
