To describe our growing up in the lowcountry of South Carolina, I would have to take you to the marsh on a spring day, flush the great blue heron from its silent occupation, scatter marsh hens as we sink to our knees in mud, open an oyster with a pocketknife and feed it to you from the shell and say, 'There. That taste. That's the taste of my childhood.' - Pat Conroy

Summer in Lilly

In typical South Carolina lowcountry fashion, the cold weather has arrived and I'm dreaming of days at the beach, swimming in a crisp clear pool, Jack Rogers and colorful Lilly prints. The great thing about the south is the fact that our winters, no matter what we may think at the time, don't last too long, so hopefully, we'll be sporting these wonderful items sooner rather than later.

Here are some Lilly looks I'm swooning over.

After seeing the list I made, I can definitely tell that Cheeky Melon is my favorite print for what's online at the moment. What can I say, orange/coral and pink go so well together and just happen to be my two favorite colors.

On a separate note, I just wanted to thank everyone for their messages of encouragement and prayers. I had my second breast ultrasound yesterday as well as meeting with my breast specialist. All is well with the girls, Praise the Lord! The Lord is good all the time, and all the time the Lord is good!

Basically, I do have a lump in my breast, but it only comes every so often, which is what is so strange, turns out, it's caused from an estrogen build up. Basically my body has a lot of hormones going on at one time, and it causes that lump to form every so often. Regardless of what you think something may be, always be proactive about your health. Remember ladies, self exam once a month, and if anything is questionable, don't hesitate to call your doctor!

I'm so thankful to God that it turned out to be nothing at all. The peace of mind now is so great, like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.

Have a blessed Wednesday y'all.
