To describe our growing up in the lowcountry of South Carolina, I would have to take you to the marsh on a spring day, flush the great blue heron from its silent occupation, scatter marsh hens as we sink to our knees in mud, open an oyster with a pocketknife and feed it to you from the shell and say, 'There. That taste. That's the taste of my childhood.' - Pat Conroy

Thoughts on a Thursday

I am thinking non-stop about having a small office space in our home. I want to do this prior to becoming a stay at home mom that way I have my own space to go, browse the internet, work on any projects and of course, blog. However, our home is quite small. Don't get me wrong, I love our home, after all, it's ours, but it's still quaint so an office space will have to be well thought out and these are giving me the perfect inspiration!

I have absolutely got to stop drinking Red Bulls. They are a terrible addiction and I've noticed that they have been causing my heart rate to accelerate. I get that they are an energy drink but I can truly feel my heart almost "skip a beat" after I get done drinking one and I hate that feeling. This is a habit that I'm quitting cold turkey today. I'll just stick to coffee from now on. Wish me luck because I love that sweet sweet Red Bull taste!

We're having dinner with the in-laws tonight. I'm so excited about not having to cook dinner and then clean the dishes afterwards. It's the little things that make me smile!

Disney is getting closer and closer each day. Each one of us in the house are so very excited about our long stay to see the mouse! However, the thought of a cruise has crossed my mind a time or two these past few days. Thoughts of warm sandy beaches make me giddy. Maybe it's this 40 degree weather we've been having?!

What are your thoughts on Making a Murderer (if you've been watching)? I'm honestly on the fence. I don't know what to think. Did he kill her, did he not? Was he set up. If he was set up someone took a lot of effort to do so...either way I'm not signing the petition for his release, which I guess, gives me the answer on what I truly think...hmm. Maybe I should wait until I finish the series first. Hah! Either way, it's very interesting to speculate on.

Tomorrow is Friday! Woo-hoo!

  1. Totally think creating a little space for yourself to focus is well worth it. I still haven't accomplished this 100% but these are great ideas. I switched to Advocare Spark several years back for my energy drink and I pretty much only have that and coffee. It gives me the energy and focus I need but doesn't make me jittery at all. Have a great weekend!
