To describe our growing up in the lowcountry of South Carolina, I would have to take you to the marsh on a spring day, flush the great blue heron from its silent occupation, scatter marsh hens as we sink to our knees in mud, open an oyster with a pocketknife and feed it to you from the shell and say, 'There. That taste. That's the taste of my childhood.' - Pat Conroy

Disney Day 4

Tuesday was our open day to do whatever we wanted. The only thing that I had planned for us was dinner that night. When we got up we resort hopped (when you see the different Disney resorts on site that you're not staying at) and had breakfast in New Orleans or Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter. We had Mickey Waffles and beignets - oh my goodness they were amazing!

After breakfast we headed back to Hollywood Studios and rode the Tower of Terror. This ride was a bit much for Cadence so Tarl and I took turns and rode it alone - that drop, woah!

When we booked our trip we also added on the Memory Maker package. It's an additional $150 but worth every penny. Make sure you book it before your arrive or it will be $200 upon arrival. The cast members taking pictures will tell you to do something like point to the ground and act shocked and then they'll add little things to your picture - it's the cutest thing!

In case you were wondering Cadence's special prize this day was the glasses that she is wearing in this pic. After riding the Tower of Terror we went and watched the Frozen Sing a long show then went to watch Beauty and the Beast live on stage.

After we watched the shows we headed to Pizza Planet for some lunch. It was just like the movie with noisy kids, arcade fun and a bunch of Toy Story decor. The pizza was yummy and the minnie mouse halloween cupcakes were delicious!

After lunch we resort hopped some more to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge.

*Side Note - those mugs Cadence and Tarl are holding are free with your dining plan and you can get free refills at any resort with them. We used over $150 in drinks alone, for free!

We got caught in a mid afternoon shower, so we headed back to take a real shower and get ready for dinner.

We had reservations at Disneys Grand Floridian at 1900 Park Fare for Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner. We got to meet Prince Charming, Cinderella (again), Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella. The buffet was abundant with food and the Grand Floridian is an amazing hotel!

Cadence wore her hot pink tutu along with her Cinderella carriage shirt, monogrammed of course :)

After dinner we hopped on the monorail right outside of the Grand Floridian and headed to Epcot to watch Illuminations, their fireworks show.

Right before the show was set to start we used one of our snack credits and got some treats!

We also rode some late night rides.

Illuminations was spectacular and iPhone pics just don't do it justice.

Afterwards we hopped the monorail and headed back to our resort to get some much needed rest.

P.S. Tinker Bell left Cadence another nightgown with Princesses on it - I forgot to take a pic #fail

Tomorrow I'll be recapping Animal Kingdom Day!
