To describe our growing up in the lowcountry of South Carolina, I would have to take you to the marsh on a spring day, flush the great blue heron from its silent occupation, scatter marsh hens as we sink to our knees in mud, open an oyster with a pocketknife and feed it to you from the shell and say, 'There. That taste. That's the taste of my childhood.' - Pat Conroy

Randomness

One thing I forgot to mention about our Disney vacation, is the fact that it is still quite some time away. Patience, sometimes, is very hard. I don't know who is more excited about this vacation, Tarl, Cadence or me!

I purchased my first official Erin Condren life planner this morning. After years of stalking the website and playing around with the different options, I finally decided on the one I wanted and I'm getting it customized to fit what I want it to look like. Our Disney vacation is jam packed with reservation times, FastPass times and of course all of the other things going on throughout the year, with holidays, birthdays, anniversaries and appointments I took the plunge. I had $20 in referral codes and a $10 promo code, so I got a $50 planner for $20 + shipping!

Victoria's Secret came out with their 2014 Swim Catalogue. I have to say, as huge a fan I am in ole Victoria, I'm not impressed this year. Not many designs are different. They are look a likes from last years collection with a few tweaks, and some are just horrendous...this is just my opinion. There is one bikini that I have been eyeing since last year, so I may take the plunge now that it's at a discounted price.

It's supposed to be 70 degree weather this weekend and I am beyond ready for it. Our family normally goes to the riverside and either crab or fish, but we haven't been able to do that because of winter, this weekend we're giving it a try.

**

I have two monogram shirts on order for Cadence right now. One for Easter, and a Minnie Mouse one...they are beyond precious and I cannot wait to see the final product.

**

I know it's only the 9th but some of my resolutions have been going really smoothly, and others not so much. I'll let you choose and pick what you think, see my original NY resolution post here.

**

Tarl says that he has something that I'm going to love for our anniversary. I've tried everything to get it out of him and no luck. Once again, patience is not my forte.

**

My boss told me yesterday he was going to NYC for a weekend coming up, I didn't talk to him the rest of the day.

Hector, our cat, is staying overnight at the vet tonight. He is getting neutered and is beyond pissed off at our entire family. It took Tarl and I both to force him into his cat carrier this morning. He cried the entire time on the way to the vet. Cadence sang him the Doc McStuffin's song, "I feel better, so much better...", it didn't seem to help...don't worry, he'll be back with our family tomorrow, ball free, ouch!

Happy Thursday!
