To describe our growing up in the lowcountry of South Carolina, I would have to take you to the marsh on a spring day, flush the great blue heron from its silent occupation, scatter marsh hens as we sink to our knees in mud, open an oyster with a pocketknife and feed it to you from the shell and say, 'There. That taste. That's the taste of my childhood.' - Pat Conroy

Heading off to College? This post is for you!

Whether you're a freshmen starting out at college or a Senior returning for their final year you should know about CampusBookRentals.com

Campus Book Rentals is great for any college student because not only is it convenient, but it's more affordable than buying all of those college books that are required.

You can save up to 80% off of standard book store prices, you get free shipping both ways, you can highlight in the books as if they were your own, and the best part? Campus Book Rentals donates to Operation Smile with every book rented. Want to learn more? The video explains it all :)

The fact that Campus Book Rentals donates to Operation Smile with each book rented is just
icing on top of the cake.

Operation Smile is a children's charity which performs and repairs cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities for children around the world. My nephew Tristan was born with both a cleft lip and palate, so to bring awareness to this cause hits very close to home.

I worked with Campus Book Rentals last semester and was honored to do so again so I could bring more awareness to something not a lot of people know about. To learn more about Operation Smile or to donate, please click the link above.

Rent Back is a new program offered by Campus Book Rentals. Rent Back is easy and the best part is you make 2 - 4 times more money than you would if you sold your old books back to a book store.

I know the picture is small, but you can click the Rent Back link above to see a bigger image.

It's as easy as 1, 2, 3. You send your books to Rent Back, they rent them out to other students who need the book and you get paid. Holla!

  1. Thanks for the great article, I'm going to NYC for college and I'm a bit scared, cause I'm not an American citizen, at least I already got my visa. I'll make sure to check out the website you recommended, would you mind sharing some more tips about American college? I'm still fighting for a dorm, at the moment I only have ten days booked at Hotelscheap.org but staying at a hotel isn't really cheap, so I really must find a place to live there in 10 days. Any ideas where I can find good deals? Thanks!!!
