To describe our growing up in the lowcountry of South Carolina, I would have to take you to the marsh on a spring day, flush the great blue heron from its silent occupation, scatter marsh hens as we sink to our knees in mud, open an oyster with a pocketknife and feed it to you from the shell and say, 'There. That taste. That's the taste of my childhood.' - Pat Conroy

***My stuck in traffic face!

***This face <3

***My wonderful husband texted me 15 minutes before I got off work and asked what outfit to pack for the surprise date night he had planned for us at my favorite restaurant, The Melting Pot.

I finally got to wear my new Piko dress that I purchased from Apricot Lane, I paired it with my tall boots, however, I would have loved to pair the dress with some booties, I just haven't found a pair that clicks well with me yet.

The Melting Pot was delicious, as usual. If you have never been, it's definitely something to save up for because the prices are high, but so worth it.
Their food is amazing and the ambiance and experience is too.
If you go make sure to get the raspberry vinaigrette salad dressing, it's unbelievable!

***My parents are hosting a cookout Saturday night that I am kinda excited about. It will be the first of the Fall season, which means a fire, warm boots and friends...

I know this post is short and sweet, but here's hoping so is the work day :)
